The Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation

Make a Difference
At the heart of the mission of the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation is advocacy on behalf of the hungry and homeless. Along with our food distribution programs and training institute courses, advocacy completes our three-tiered approach to alleviating hunger in metropolitan Chicago. Advocacy assumes many forms: whether you are an event volunteer or a spokesman for the hungry and homeless, CAHF needs your help to fulfill our mission and make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in our city.

How to Give
Your financial contribution to the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation can go a long way to help a family in need. We purchase fresh produce and food staples in bulk to maximize your donation. We are entirely supported corporate by contributions, foundations, religious organizations, public monies, and individual private donations. These contributions keep our programs running! We are very proud that 86% of our budget is spent directly on programs that provide food and other services to hungry people. (more)

Wish List
Although the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation's ultimate wish is for a hunger-free America, we understand that goal cannot be accomplished overnight. In order to realize the full potential of our organization to alleviate hunger in metropolitan Chicago, we must expand and grow. Here is a list of items that would help CAHF fight hunger more efficiently and effectively. (more)
